Poverty meets the Cheat

Synopsis
In January 2002 Mith Samlanh (Friends) worked with children and the David Glass Ensemble to produce the theatre piece "Poverty Meets the Cheat". Mith Samlanh work with the street children of Phnom Penh so that they may become, through their own initiative, productive self-suffiecient members of society. The play was created by a group of 60 children in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Assisted by the David Glass Ensemble, the children displayed their own lives on stage: all children had been abused in one way or another. The production has since beenb put into words in the form of this book.
